Senior Solar Design / Electrical Engineer – Muldersdrift / Mogale City

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Solar / Electrical Engineer at located in Mogale City.

The Senior Electrical/Solar Engineer will be responsible for all engineering related activities associated with solar industry projects, including but not limited to the management of design teams that are responsible for solar power systems and PV designs.

This is a hybrid role, meaning the candidate will work primarily in Mogale City but also have the flexibility to work remotely on sites in South Africa and neighbouring African countries.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field is required
Extensive Electrical Installation, Solar Industry, Solar Power and Solar System experience
PV Design and Electrical Design qualification or skills (AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst or related) is required
Project Management experience and or qualification will be advantageous
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
Strong leadership skills to effectively lead a team of design engineers and site-managers throughout project life-cycle
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to be able to develop innovative solutions to overcome challenges in Solar PV Installations
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Professional Certification as a Professional Engineer in solar or electrical engineering will be an advantage
Fully computer literate on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook etc.
Previous experience is compulsory.
5 Years plus will be a must.
